This spring we visited our awesome friends, the Wardells, in Belgium. We had 10 days with them plus 2 days of travel. What a trip! All 3 of us agreed that the highlight was spending time with our buddies. The kids were so happy and entertained that it felt like a true vacation for me. We stayed with the Wardells in a small community about 30 minutes outside of Brussels, called Boutersem. We visited Brussels, Leuven, and a variety of parks in and around where they live. The kids played soccer and jumped on the trampoline in the backyard. They "baked," created a lovely drink of seltzer and bitters, read, laughed, and played in the house.
Megan and I also took the crew to Paris for a night and two days. We had a blast and the kids were traveling champs! There were lots of trains, plenty of walking, and a variety of sweet treats in addition to all the beauty Paris offers.
